New Xbox unveil at E3 2012?

Microsoft is planning on unveiling their next Xbox at E3 2012 next June, according to BGR website. They site a source within Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division that knows of such a plan, but gave no additional information on an actual launch date. The system has also reportedly also been in development since 2006.

Also,
Last month, a report surfaced about an "unnamed Electronic Arts studio" already working on new non-finalized Xbox hardware. Speculation by that source pointed to a "late 2012" launch for Microsoft's next-gen console. EA immediately denied the rumors.

Next, a source from Crytek UK (part of the EA Partners label) stated that they're working on a new Timesplitters title for the machine's launch. The studio quickly sent a statement to IGN stating, "Relating to the recent rumors, Crytek do not have any next generation hardware from Microsoft, nor do we know when Microsoft may announce future hardware or what that hardware will entail."

Microsoft has hinted that they would like to release the next Xbox in 2014 and ride the current Kinect related bump in hardware sales as long as it can. It’s not completely unlikely that one of Microsoft's major developers are beginning work on the next generation. With increasing hardware costs, game development time and stubborn economic recovery this sounds all likely. But if Nintendo can get Wii U in homes by next Christmas with decent launch lineup, expect Microsoft's to push their date up considerably.
